BOP has a new Chairman

At BOP's 2025 AGM in October, Danny Hickes, a long-standing committee member, was elected to the post of Chairman of the society.
Danny was previously Vice-Chairman and succeeds Jane Seddon. He has also led our Backstage and Front of House teams for our main Grand Theatre shows for a number of years bringing all-round experience to the Chairmanship.

It is with a heavy heart that we report on the loss of two society members.
Ken Robinson was a social and committee member for a number of years. He was a big supporter of amateur theatre and along with his long-term partner, Jacqui Veazey, would be seen travelling the Fylde Coast to support other societies.
Penny Beckett was an acting member for over 30 years. When she wasn't on stage she was indulging her other passion - golf. She will be missed by BOP and all her friends at Preston Golf Club.
On a happier note, we are delighted to share the news that Danni Jones and Sam Crossley tied the knot on 29 May 2025.
Also, Sarah Lindgren said "yes" when Robert Job asked her to marry him.
Our congratulations to you all and we wish you every happiness in your new lives together.
